In 2017, the trade turnover between Belarus and Kazakhstan increased by more than 60% (compared to the same period in 2016) and exceeded $ 500 million. The balance is positive - exports of goods from Belarus amounted to more than $ 480 million. Belarusian tractors, furniture, ceramic tiles, dairy products , medicines are well known and in demand in this country. In exchange, Kazakhstan supplies petroleum products, coal, cotton fiber.
The engine of commerce is mechanical engineering. A whole network of assembly plants has been created in Kazakhstan. In the city of Kokshetau, they jointly produce equipment for agricultural machinery, an assembly of trucks "MAZ" is organized in Almaty, and utility machines are assembled in a special economic zone "Astana - New City".
The markets of the two countries combine common rules of the Eurasian Economic Union: customs standards are unified, there are no trade barriers.
